Thesis Title:

Integrating Prior Knowledge for Neural Network Efficiency: Advances in Normalization, Multimodal Representation and Alignment, and a Modular Framework for Open-Vocabulary Object Detection at Low Cost.

Abstract: This research enhances the efficiency of deep learning models by integrating domain knowledge. Contributions include:

  • Low-cost framework to extend LLMs to Multimodal LLMs (MLLMs)
  • Optimization of generative AI for vision, NLP, and multimodal tasks
  • Domain adaptation and knowledge-based generalization
  • Efficient normalization and modular design for scalable AI

Supervisors:

  • Prof. Hanane Azzag – LIPN, Sorbonne Paris Nord University
  • Dr. Fangchen Fang – L2TI, Sorbonne Paris Nord University
  • Prof. Mustapha Lebbah – DAVID Lab, Paris Saclay University
